8th SCI INNOVATION COMPETITION
The Sci Innovation Competition, a preliminary pitch competition that selects promising tech ventures from Canada and US to participate in multiple global roadshows in Asia, has entered its eight consecutive year.
The 8th Sci Innovation Competition is scheduled to take place in Toronto, Canada in early-October, 2024. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to gather in person and experience the cutting-edge culture of the Canada's most innovative city.
Top finalists will be offered monetary prizes up to about C$100,000 each and an expense-covered trip to attend the global final, and meet investors, partners and manufacturers in person in early-November, 2024.
To apply for the Sci Innovation Competition, you need to be a tech venture with an innovative, scalable and marketable product or service. You also need to fill out an application and submit a pitch deck. If selected, you will be invited to a preliminary roadshow and pitch to a panel of judges, and compete for a chance to showcase in multiple pitch competitions on the international stage.

The criteria for the judges to evaluate the pitches are:
- The innovation and originality of the product or service
- The barrier of entry of the product or service
- The scalability and marketability of the product or service globally
- The social and environmental impact of the product or service
- The team's background, expertise and vision from an academic and commercialization perspective
- The presentation skills and clarity of the pitch
